07-21-10 Happy Birthday to Dipsey! He is one today!! We celebrated with cookies for everybody. Everybody is doing well. Sassy's babies are incredible. They are small and CUTE. It is a little lonely around here without Rascal, although h has a wonderful home.

07-01-10 Everything is wonderful here at Yorkieville. All the dogs are happy and healthy. Sassy had 4 girls and 1 boy on the 23rd of June. Olive's litter goes to the vet for their first shot on the 7th of July.

We have been walking at a state park here called Lost Maples, a truly beautiful place and we take 2 dogs at a time, they are having so much fun. Rascal just dove in the water and played, it was so funny.  It is very much a joy to be here, our lives really couldn't be any more perfect. A houseful of Yorkies will always cure whatever ails you!!!

6-12-10 All is going very well here. Olive's babis are just awesome, with every litter I think it is the best we've had, I guess they are just all pretty spectacular. I just can anver get enough of Yorkies, they are without a doubt the most awesome dogs I have ever had.

Sassy is getting HUGE, she isn't due until the 27th and she is just waddling around, poor little mama dog. We are looking very forward to her litter, this is Dipsey's first litter. They should be very small and sweet.

Olive and her 4 babies, the day after!
olive-o4-05-14-10.jpg
She is kind of having a bad hair day,

5-14-10 Olive had her babies! She had 1 boy and 3 girls and what a champ she was. Both mama and babies are doing great. She is such a wonderful mom, it is sad that this will be her last litter, but we don't like to burn out our mama's and this is her 4th.

Sammy is gone to his new home in Sun City, Arizona nad is a very happy boy. Mickey has gne to his new home in Las Vegas and is also a VERY happy boy, both of them got perfect homes.

4-25-10 Well, we have Mickey in Las Vegas, NV Sammy in Sun City, AZ and Garth just left for Eagle Pass, TX. We still have 3 boys tat are waiting for their perfect home but it does feel a bit empty around here. Bella came and visited yesterday and it was wonderful to see her. See is a very happy girl, it ws obvious.

We are beginning the task of clipping. Afther the long winter, now spring is here and the fur is going. The dogs seem to really enjoy getting rid of all that fur and we sure do love not having it to groom!!!

Olive is due in the middle of May, so things are really slowing down around here. We are just enjoying the heck out our dogs and not doing much of anything else.

3-18-10 We are having so much fun with Tessa's litter, there are only two, so it is easy just to grab them out of their play pen and kiss them all over!!! We have bred Olive to Sammy and those babies should arrive around May 15th, that is our next litter, it has been a long time sine we have gone 3 months without having babies.

Sammy is going to move to Arizona in April. He will be a lot happier there, we need the dogs to sleep and eat in crates and Sammy refuses, he is awake by 4:30 AM when we put him in his crate, he won the battle and he sleeps with us now, but when he goes to Arizona, that is just going to be how his life is so it is perfect for him.

What a sight we have around here, we have two girls in heat, Olive (she is done breeding now but still in heat) and we have Glori now for sale since we are keeping her broither and she is in her first heat. Now all that isn't bad, but we have 7 males around here and only three of them are neutered!! We have Sammy still, of course and Dipsey who is not ready to start breeding yet, but he thinks he is!! Then we haven't yet found the perfect homes for Garth or Rascal and they are old enough to be getting interested in the girls. Then There is Mickey who still hasn't found his perfect home, but at least he is neutered and then we have Spike and Brutus, who are both neutered but sometimes all three of the neutered ones forget about that particular surgery!! So anyway, a zoo it is, but still oh so much fun. We just love it here at Yorkiville.

Pepper and Paprika playing around
pepper-and-pappy-03-11-10.jpg

02-02-10 Today Tessa had two baby boys, mom and babies are all doing great. She did wonderful.

We are so busy aroubnd here, we have never had so may puppies, we have 6 puppies ready to go home and 1 adult dog for sale!!! WOW. We are really enjoying the puppies but it sure is a lot of work.

We decided that having two males is just too much so Dipey is going to a WONDERFUL home in Sun City Arizona. His new mom and dad, Vickey and Bill are very excited about him I will be delivering him to them in April when I am driving through there on my way to Nevada. It will be  a bitter sweet moment for Nate and I. We really love Dipsey a lot, but he is going to a perfect home.

01-21-10 We have just come back from the vet where Sassy's litter had their second shots. What champs they were. Of course the cheese that the vet gives them to lick on while she is giving them their shot doesn't hurt!!

We were contacted by another scam artist, we just completed the process of verifing that it was in fact a scam. This one was a check from Electron Microscopy Sciences signed by a Stacie Kirsch. I get so frustrated because they take up time and pretend to be real dog lovers not to mention the fact that some people might let a dog go to them before they figured out that it was a scam. A very terrible situation. I guess it takes all kinds to make the world go around.

Donald
donald-12-28-09-1.jpg
Our sweet, sweet little boy.

01-08-10 Happy New Year. We have really just been counting our blessings here. We have so much to be greatful for, we really can't ask for anymore.

We have some sad news; we lost Donald. We think that he was maybe too small for his vaccinations, because before them he was doing fine and the vet checked him, he was fine, afterward when he was a little lethargic we blamed the vaccination, but then he didn't get better so we gave him some glucose and put him with his mom alone, she just ignored him. We think that she knew he was not going to make it!! It was very sad, he was a very sweet and beautiful boy. We are going back to having our shots at 8, 12, and 16 weeks with our puppies, it always worked well that way and 6 weeks just feels too young to take them out.

12-19-09 As usual a lot is going on here. Sassy's babie are 4 weeks old a beautiful. They are starting to really entertain us. Tessa is pregnant by Samson, this will be a first litter for both of them, we are very ecited about it. She is due February 1st. Daisy is pregnant and due February 15th, so February is going to be full of fun and we won't have a break in our puppy life, that is a very good thing.

Nate and I are just really enjoying our dogs. We are going to training with Samsona and Dipsey, the beginning of our Agility Training. We will begin competeing in Obedience (Rally) then add Agility. We are having a lot of fun with all that!

11-18-09 We are very excited here, on Thursday we begin our adventures into the Agility world. We are taking Samson and Dipsey to our first obedience class!! So we will embark on a whole new adventure here at Yorkieville!! Everybody is doing great, we are getting over our loss of York and moving on to big things.

As you can see, or maybe not, we have decided to keep both of Minnie's babies and put them into our breeding program. We are very excited about that.

Sassy is getting huge and temp going down, so any day now we are expecting her new babies, they ought to be beautiful. This is Mickey's last litter for us. It will be sad to say goodbye to Mickey, but he deserves to be in a home where he will be a lot happier.

Bella also needs a home where she will be special with only one or two other dogs. Some fit into this big population of 12 and some do better with less. We are trying to meet the needs of all of our dogs, it is difficult sometimes to figure it out and sometimes takes time, but eventually we get it!!

10-18-09 Well, Nate is back from his whirlwind trip to Las Vegas and Mikko is very happy with his new mom Barbara. Olive had her babies, 3 girls and doing great. All the other puppies are happy, healthy, and into EVERYTHING they shouldn't be and some things that they can have. I really have to get the advertising going!!! We are in the process of changing our feed over to Royal Canin and we are pretty excited about it. It has so many life stages and they seem to really have researched the needs of all different life stages and breed sizes. I'll let you know in a while how it goes and what we think when the dogs are all on it.

Bella and her crew
b1-litter-10-18-09.jpg

10/14/09 Exciting it has been here at Yorieville. Bella had her babies on Saturday, the 10th. She did GREAT she had 2 girls and 3 boys, just like Daisy!! We are doing our puppie exercises with them and having a blast!! Then there is the puppies, Daisy and Minnies, boy oh boy are they fun, we spend the better portion of our time laughing at them. We have taken them to Home Depot a few times and then other places here and there and thhey sure attract a lot of attention, they are very cute.

Nate flys off to Las Vegas with Mikko on Saturday to turn him over to his new mom, Barbara. We are really going to miss him, he is a very sweet little boy.

09-20-09 A LOT has been happening. We are having so much fun with the puppies, they go for walks on the ranch here and it is too cute. All seven of them running along expolring and tumbling. I don't know if I have ever had so much fun with the puppies. Of course, we have never had two litters at the same time.

We have Bella and Olive bred and Sassy is in heat due to breed any day now, so it is going to be a great winter for us full of puppies. It is great that the dogs are really our only job (if you can call it a job), because there is a lot to do and they keep us both running hard.

My mom has two bred Chloe and Sophie so she will have two litters in November, she didn't want to breed in the winter, but boys will be boys and girls will be girls and they did!!!

Thats it for now, thanks for all your support.

08-31-09 Well, how exciting it has been around here, I can't believe it, but it has been 6 weeks since Minnie had her babies! She did so well whelping, we just put her babies on the site, look at these, they are gorgeous and both will be pretty small but especially the Dipsey. Minnie is a wonderful mom and we are very glad that we re bred her and let her whelp .

Phoebe had her babies on the same day as Minnie, she had a C-Section and had 3 girls!!! My mom is very excited and she says they are beautiful. I will get pictures soon and get them on the site, as far as I know none of them are sold.

9 days after that Daisy had her, 5 of them, we have 3 boys and 2 girls from her. They are 5 weeks. These are beautiful babies also and smaller than Minnies, we will have them on the site in the next couple of days, but boy oh boy have we ever been blesses wih our dogs, they are fantastic!

07-13-09 We are in Texas and boy is it hot!! The dogs are doing great. They seem to be very happy here and have finally figured out that this is home. My mom had Phoebe x-rayed and she is with three babies and is due on the 18th. We had Minnie x-rayed and she is with two babies and is due on the 19th and Daisy we didn't have x-rayed but she is due on the 25th and is most definately pregnant! It is going to be a lot of fun with lots of babies pretty quick, did you get a load of that Jake? He is a cutey.

We have a new male to begin breeding in about 6 months, we have named him Samson, he is almost 7 months old and right at 3 pounds, my mom has a male she is keeping and he is almost 3 months and not even two pounds yet!!! Both of the new boys are exceptional in all Yorkie qualities and we are really excited about them.

We will get up to date pictures of the moms and dads pretty quick here, that page is a little out of date. We have new ones and have retired at least one that is still listed there.

That is about it for now.

06-19-09  We made it to Texas!!! And what a trip it was. We had 11 dogs and our 6 year old granddaughter. We had to race here to beat the people that were transporting the horses and we made it only an hour after them!!! Pretty good, the only way we were able to do it was because they had a starter go out in Arizona, sad for them, but it helped us catch up!!

The dogs are very happy here, Nate and I don't work as much and so we are with them a lot more. (The horses are happier too, we actually have time to play with them!) My mom has a one puppy, a boy that is only two weeks old and he is doing GREAT, fat and sassy. He will be on the web in a few weeks. She also has a litter with Phoebe, she is due in July. We have bred both Minnie (yes, we are going to try it one more time) and Daisy, they are due in July also. I will keep you posted, I have DSL now Hooray, things go a lot faster and it is much less frustrating!!!

04-29-09 I finally got my DSL connection in Texas and I am here right now, so here goes the update. Chloe had her babies or I should say baby. She was scheduled for a C-section on Monday April 13th to deliver 3 babies, then on the night of the 12th she went into labor. My mom called the vet and she was given a choice to bring her in or try to whelp her and she chose to try to whelp her. Chloe had a very big first baby and on top of that it was breach, I pulled and pulled when she pushed and we finally got that critter out, a beautiful little (big for Chloe) girl. Unfortunately it took too long and she suffocated in the birth canal. The second came very quickly and it was the same thing, a breach and he was a little bigger than his sister, and yes, we lost him too! My mom then bundled up Chloe and got on the road to the vet with my dad driving and on the way a beautiful LITTLE boy came and he came head first!! He is doing great and so is his mama.

Well, thats not all. On the 17th Olive had her puppies, all is well with all of them and boy are they beautiful, she had 3 girls and one boy. She had no problems at all and is one of the best moms we have. We really miss her while we are here in Texas, but my mom and Kevin are home taking care of them. My mom is doing the puppy exercises and feeding her lunch and Kevin is doing the night and morning duties so she is in great hands.

For this trip we brought Tessa and Brutus. Boy are they having fun. They love the yard and they love running in and out. Tessa has to take all her toys from room to room in the house with her. It is the cutest thing, she takes them one by one and puts them right where she wants them. (There are only 5 of them.) It is a good thing that Brutus hasn't decided that he wants to play with them!!

That is all for now, I'll keep you updated on more.

02-28-09 Well, for this month we got Nellie, Bella and Peanut back. It was a sad thing, their new owners could not follow through with payment and so asked us to take them back. It was a very tearful and depressing situation. The girls are doing better now, but boy was it hard for them. They were very well cared for and very much loved.

Our babies are all gone to great homes, (although my mom still has some fantastic babies). Olive and Mickey bred this month so if she is pregnant they will have babies on April 20th. Sassy also went through her first heat cycle, so probably on the next one she will get bred.

That's about it for now, bye till the next time.

01-28-09 - As usual a lot is going on around here. We are getting over our issue with Minnie and she is doing quite well, her normal energy has returned and things are looking great for her, so we are very greatful for that. Our puppies are doing great, the boys were at the vet today for their second shot and they got a total great health diagnosis!!!

Mom's puppies are growing and getting almost old enough and cute enough to get the pictures on the web site.

We are going to be moving to Texas in May and June. Mom will be remaining here and breeding, so quality local Yorkies will still be found here in Nevada!! We will just be able to begin offering the same in Texas. We are very excited about this opportunity that came about, we will be managing a 3,000 acre exotic animal ranch. The best part of this is that there is a person on the ranch that does the feeding and regular maintenance, so we will have a lot more time for our Yorkies and horses. It will be a lifestyle change,  and we will miss our family here but the opportunity is just too awesome to pass up.

That's about it. I will you informed about the babies.

01-07-09 We have been having an awful lot of excitement around here. With puppies being born, and puppies going to new homes, it has been difficult for me to find time to update you!!

Phoebe had to have a C-Section and all went well, she is doing very well and all her kids are beautiful. Abbie whelped 3 gorgeous boys, then stepped on one, he is going to be fine but it was most definately a moment of stress.

We had a tragedy that could have been avoided with Minnie, I am still very upset so forgive me if I get a little emotional. I made an appointment at the vet to have Minnie checked just to make sure that she was doing okay since she is so small and she had been having contractions for two days. Well, my regular vet wasn't available and even my second choice wasn't available and I thought, 'What the heck, it is only a check to make sure Minnie and the babies were okay' so I allowed her to go to another vet. He recommended that she have a C-section, I thought, 'well, he is the vet, he certainly knows more than I do' So I okayed it.

He delivered 3 boys and 1 girl that had very little hair and were very clearly premature. The three boys lived only a few hours, the girl lived a little over a day! We are very sad as is Minnie, but we are learning that very difficult thing called forgivness.

That is the update for now and I will let you know more as we go!!!

12-6-08 - Not a lot has been happening around here other than puppies growing and some leaving, mama's growing and getting ready to whelp. It looks like Mnnie might have three babies in there, we will re-ceheck her on Monday. Phoebe and Abbie both have four or five and we didn't ultra sound Daisy. It is gong to be very exciting around here come January!!!!

We hope you are all blessed at this Christmas Season. We here at Yorkieville have certainly been blessed, look at all the Yorkies we have, what more could anybody need or want but a whole houseful of Yorkies, they are the best!!!

11-09-08 Thank you so much to all of you for your conversation and input, we really enjoy e-mailing and talking to you all. We had another fun week here at Yorkieville. Cindy had her babies and we had three of our sweeties (Bella, Nellie ansd Peanut) go to a great home, although it does feel a little empty around here! Minnie and Mickey bred, she is dur January 6th and Daisy is almost ready to breed!! It has been WONDERFUL.

11-02-08 Nate and I have decided that we have to slow down with breeding and sell some of our bredding dogs. We have a lot going on in our lives with both of us working pretty close to full time and our son getting custody of his five year old daughter. They live with us and I am doing the school and activity thing with her, which I am enjoying emmensly. All of these things has forced us to make the decision to sell some of our breeding dogs.

What a time we have had, happy and sad. Sophie had all of her babies and they were all beautiful and she did a great job, one female was pretty small and mom needed to help her eat. Mom ended up losing her. Then one of the other females got in the cage with the babies and we lost all three males, it was a very sad day. Then Spohie had to go to the vet due to a retained placenta, we are still waiting to see if she passes it or has to have surgery. A very difficult time for my mom.

On the up side, Olive had only one baby. We were very surprised because she was six days early, she has little girl and we are very pleased with her.

As far as breedings, my mom has Chloe bred to Mickey, she will have babies due the day after Christmas. Then she went and got hung up with Reggie OOPS, so the puppies will be pure bred, but not registered!!

Abby bred to Reggie and those babies will be due January 3, 2009. So my mom will be very busy.

Our Minnie is going to be breeding to Mickey any day now and our Daisy is just coming in so should breed in the next 10 - 12 days. It has been very busy here at Yorkieville and it promises to continue.

10-08-08 There ahas been a lot hppening here at Yorkieville. We have three litters due in November and mama's are starting to have bellies!!! Tinkerbell has been spayed nad had her teeth cleaned, she is now just waiting for that perfect home to come along. Annie and Peanut have had all their shots and are also waiting for that perfect home. All the rest of the puppies have only had their first, but all are ready to go. Things with the economy seem to be slowing the dog market also, but we are having so much fun with these dogs. The only problem is that we and they get so attached when we have them for so long, but they adjust to their new homes nicely and we adjust to being without them probably not quite as well!!!

We got to see Izzy, that is Kathy and Bill's little girl, Tinkerbell's daughter and boy is she cute. She grew up to around 4 lb 6 oz if I recall correctly. They have a beautiful liffle boy also named Vinny which they brought with them. It was a lot of fun seeing Kathy and Izzy again and meeting Bill and Vinny!!

Well thats it for this update, we will be trying to get some new pictures this week end, it is a little tought because Nate has been working many hours lately and he is the camera guy, but he should be off al week end, so look for them!!!

9-17-08 Olive and Cindy both bred to Mickey and are due in November. All the babies are growing and playing hard. We are having so much fun with them. Tinkerbell is going to be spayed and go to a new home It wil be vary sad for us but great for her. She is a very special dog and we make sure that she gets the perfect home for her. That's about all for now.

8-24-08 - Well it has been pretty fun around here, we have puppies that are getting shots and lots of puppies to play with. We now have some ready to go home. That is always a bitter sweet moment around here. We love our dogs so much and we will miss them, but the other side of it is that we know they go to good homes and that is exciting for tthem and us.

Olive came into heat today, so she will be breding in the next 10 days or so which make our next litter in early November for her. We have Daisy, Minnie and Sophie also that should be coming into heat next month, what a fun Christmas we will have with all those puppies!!!!!!

8-9-08 This was a big week for our yougest litters, they all opened their eyes and are seeing the world. It has been fun watching them develop from little blobs to little dogs.

We have been letting he older litters play with the biggers dogs and it has been so much fun. They are very active and excited about every new thing they dscover!!

8-3-08 Not a lot happened this week at Yorkieville. We are just really enjoying watching the babies grow. Annie, Peanut and Sassy are so much fun. They love harrasing the bigger dogs, and the bigger dogs are so patient with them (most of the time).

Tink's litter is doing well also, they are moving around quite a bit although they still don't have their eyes open. We are looking forward to seeing their eyes sometime this next week.

7-26-08 Wow has a lot gone on this week. On 7/20/08 Chloe went to the vet and had a C-Section where she delivered 2 boys and 1 girl, as I was clearing one of the boys he slid out of the wrap and we lost him!! That was a terrible experience. I am gald to say though that Chloe and the other two babies are doing very well.

On 7/22/08 we took Peanut, Annie and Sassy to Dr. Ross for their first shot and wellness check where they passed with flying colors. Dr. Ross said 'beautiful babies'.

On 7/24/08 Tink delivered 5 beautiful SMALL babies, one was only 1-7/8 oz so we immediately started to supplement her, she didn't have the strength to suck. We fed her for 30 hours and then lost her, we think that maybe a change in formula might have done it because she actually gained a 1/4 oz in the first 24 hours and then subsequently lost it and on the way to the vet we lost her. We called her 'Bundle' I have posted a picture of Nate feeding her below so you can get an appreciation of how small she was.

This whole litter is very small. This is Mickey's first and we are impressed, the other four are 3-5/8 oz, 3-3/4 oz, 4-3/8 oz and 4-5/8 oz. The smallest litter we have had and this is their mothers fifth and last litter.

That's it for today, more next week!!!

Nate feeding Bundle, She was 1-7/8 oz.
bundle072508.jpg

7-12-08 Another fun week at Yorkieville. Cindy's babies are going through the pet door, playing like crazy and entertaning us endlessly. Phoebe's babies at 4 weeks are beginning to come around and come into themselves. We will put the new litter on next week. We are looking forward to both Chloe and Tink's babies. Both girls are getting very large.

7/05/08 - What a great week, the girls are playing like crazy. They are so cute. They have almost discovered the pet door, they are still not quite ready for it, but they are close. Annie is getting a lot more bold, she is being more adventurous than her sisters.
The other litter, Phoebe's are still pretty quiet and not doing a whole lot, but boy are they cute.
 More next week....

6-28-08 I got the web site fixed AGAIN. I don't know what is going on with it. (I can't get the host to respond to me) but agaon, I really appreciate all the e-mails making me aware of this. We are having so much fun with the babies. Caleb went to his new home and we are getting ready to put up the pictures of the Cindy/Reggie girls. We have not been able to get good pictures, but we are working on it so soon they will be available. We lost Vinnie at two weeks. He was just too little and too weak to make it, my parents did all that they could do for him but it just wasn't meant to be.

6-21-08 Boy, what a month. Cindy's little girls are doing great, I will be putting the babies on individually next week.. I finally got the web site put back together. Thank you so much to all that made me aware of the problems, I don't always look at what all you see, so I really appreciate the input. Well, on the 14th Phoebe had her babies, she had 4 and all of them were VERY small. One little boy, Vinnie, is the smallest and pretty fragile, he had to go to the vet yesterday becuase he just isn't gaining weight. He will be fine but human interventon is necessary. That is about all of the update for now, but things are really starting to happen here. With all of our females being breedable we should have babies most of time now so lots of new news.

5-26-08 Today we lost Cindy's little boy, he was pretty weak from birth and just couldn't make it. Ths is our first loss like this and it was veery sad for us, but boy what is doing to Cindy is just awful!

5-25-08 - Cindy had her babies, this s her first litter and what a great mommie she is, she was a trooper. We are very proud of her. Her babies are the smallest we have ever had. She had three girls and one boy.

4-17-08 Hooray, Abbie had her babies. A perfect mix, 2 boys 2 girls. She did great and these babies are tiny. It was a really fun night for all of us.

4-15-06 Reggie and Phoebe bred today, that will make their babies due around 6-17-08, as usual, they should be beautiful. We are very excited about crossing these lines, they are both superior dogs so the babies will be something else.

3-27-08 Today Cindy and Reggie bred so that will give us another litter on 5-29-08 wow, what a bunch of babies we will have, pretty exciting!!! We will keep you posted.

3-19-08 Today our last baby left, it feels a little empty around here. Fortunately we have Olive bred and it looks as if Cindy will be ready to breed next week, she has just started to come in to heat!! That will make it pretty busy around here for the next couple of months, we just love it.

Finally we have come up with the breeding moms and dads that we are pleased with, they are all healthy with good knees and all but two of our females have already gone through their first heat, so we have a lot that are breeding or ready to breed when they come into heat again. We will keep you informed of our progerss on breeding and whelping.

3-17-08 Addendum, Hooray, Olive and Reggie bred tonight!! Now we are expecting babies in April and May!! What a fun time at Yorkieville.

03-17-08 - Wow, what a month. We have been so busy here that I have negleted keeping you informed, I apologize. Well, Abby is bred to Reggie and expected to whelp around April 23.

Olive is in heat and almost ready to breed, we will breed her to Reggie also. Mickey will not be ready to breed until July, much to his dismay. We have had 3 females in heat (Minnie, Daisy and Olive) and he is just going crazy! We are really hoping that Olive will get bred, this will be her first litter and we are expecting them to be beautiful.

We only have one baby left from our last litter, Pickles and boy is it ever quiet in our house. It is really very sad because Pickles is very lonely for her siblings!

I think that is all of the happenings right now, I will get more consistent on my postings, but please let us know if you would like anything else on here. We would love your input.

02-16-08 Wow, what a day. We took the babies out for the first time today, they were sooo cute. Chanell's new people, Tabitha, Lyle, Cindy and  Mike came to visit her. Then Tasha and Anthony came from Las Vegas. At first Tasha thought that she wanted Pickles, but after playing with the puppies, it was clear that Sammy was the one that wanted her the most so she decided on him. It was a great day here at Yorkieville, Nate and I really enjoy these kind of days.

2/08/08 What a fun time we had here today, it was the babies first bath. They did okay, they never are very happy on the first one. Then we clipped their toe nails, that wasn't very difficult, they are pretty good natured dogs. Chanel did let us know that it was pretty irritating to her by making some noise that might be taken for a growl, but she got through it, then boy did they sleep!! It was a very fun day.

02/07/08 - Today was a pretty tough day here at Yorkieville. Olive had retained some of her baby teeth so we took her to the vet to have them removed and that went very well, she is home now and everything is perfect with her.

When Nate went to get the ranch dogs out of bed  before going to the vet, he found Arco very lethargic and unable to get up he was very sick so we took him to the vet with us and found that somewhere he had ingested anti freeze.

We learned that hard way that anti freeze has a sweet smell and taste and if left out is very toxic for an animal but very attractive to them. So BEWARE dispose of your anti freeze and leave it nowhere that it can be ingested by animals, they really like it.

Arco was eleven years old, he was our buddy and best friend to York since he was about 8 weeks old. We will miss him very much. His absence is obvious and he leaves us with a big hole in our family.

02/05/08 - What week end we had here at Yorkieville. It started on Friday when we delivered Lina to her people. It was pretty hard, but she has a great home where there is only two other dogs. We believe that she will be much happier.

Then on Saturday it all began with Bob and Susan coming actually to look at Sammy and they ended up with Bones, who is now called Zack, he has a sister now and her name is Zoe.  Zoe just got pins out her leg from breaking it falling off the couch so they brought Zoe along to make sure that she liked the new fella and she really did. I have heard from Susan and they are doing great. Zoe's leg is doing well also.

Then Mike, Cindy and Tabatha came and they picked Princess, this is where I made a mistake. I had commited Princess to someone else (Tasha, in Las Vegas) but I thought I had commited Pickles to her, anyway I guess I am suffering from sometimers no brain. I am hoping that Tasha will forgive me. But I do know that Princess will have an awesome home with lots of love.

So then, the Em____ family came and they took Blue Boy home. I haven't heard what his name is yet, but he has a great home. We are very excited because all of the puppies have great homes and we are very grateful, but it sure does feel empty around here with three less dogs!

We will keep you updated on the happenings.
